Our success is based on the ability to offer our customers variety of in-house expertise such as; a dedicated account manager, bespoke product design, marketing assistance, quality ingredient supply, machine servicing and 30 years of experience in the beverage solutions industry.

Our History

Anchor Supplies

Anchor Supplies opened its doors for business in 1985, selling commercial products to businesses based in Bristol. Within the first year of trading Anchor diversified into coffee and tea sales, offering companies free loan filter coffee machines.

With focus on corporate beverages Anchor Supplies changed its name to Anchor Coffee & Tea in 1988. After a short period of trading under the new title, Anchor produced its first own brand filter coffee.

Bridge Valley Coffee & Tea

In the year 1990 new company names were being explored. Founder & CEO Bernard Devenish was driving along Bridge Valley Road when he witnessed a tea clipper sailing across the River Avon. From this moment forward the company was known as Bridge Valley Coffee & Tea.

Corporate growth and new product offerings have contributed to the evolution of the company and in 2012 Bridge Valley Coffee & Tea became The Bridge Valley Group. Although the logo has changed Bridge Valley's Mission has remained the same.




As global citizens we at Bridge Valley Group recognize that we have a responsibility to protect the environment, we endeavour, through good practise, to reduce our impact upon the environment. We strive to comply with all the legislation surrounding this subject and aim to exceed them where possible. We communicate this concern for the world at large through our correspondence with customers and suppliers. We also buy our resources from the most ethical suppliers that are on the market, examples of this are Fair-trade and the Rainforest Alliance

Ethical Resourcing

Our code of conduct is based on the International Labour Organisation (ILO) guidelines and is a fair and achievable way to monitor, develop and promote the on-going improvement of our supply base. Through a process of self-evaluation, internal risk assessment and a series of independent audits conducted by a third party, we can ensure that our code of conduct is adhered to.

We want our customers to feel comfortable that the items they buy from us have been produced in an ethical and responsible manner. To this end we insist that our suppliers trade lawfully, through fair and honest dealings, do so without exploiting those in their employment, provide safe and decent working conditions and take a responsible attitude towards the environment.
